Introduction to r-DNA technology, vectors: definition and types; construction and properties fo plasmid, phage,cosmid and phagemid vectors; restriction enzymes properties and uses in cloning; gene cloning genomic and cDNA cling; impression of genes in recombinant cells, stability of recombinant cells, restriction mapping; DNA sequencing; gene mapping; polymerase chain reaction.
